Teaching (math, physics or programming), fixing electronics, programming stuff that nobody wants, making computer games (that some might wanna play), cleaning the environment, cleaning my neighborhood.
I would be a terrible teacher but sure I’ll enjoy doing the rest.
I think it is difficult to answer because if the society changed that much, it would probably impact this kind of choices. But I think woodworking when I’m in shape, and author when I’m phtsicaly exhausted. In general, I think I would like at least two different jobs. While I think specialization is efficient and so reduce the time we collectively have to spend working, it does not mean single specialization. I think in many if not all jobs can be “mastered” without dadecating your whole working time to it.

I have talked about this at length before, but I completely disagree with the notion that sex work should ever exist in socialism.
I think sex work will dissapear but not sex videos, people who have a voyeuristic fetish will keep filming/watching, imo, for example.
Out of curiosity what are your thoughts on recording/sharing amateur sex because you are a voyeur or exhibitionist?

If I’m asking too many questions feel free to push back, I just find this an interesting stance and am curious to know more about why you think it shouldn’t exist in socialism. I read your other post and I’m still a bit confused about people who enjoy and wish to participate in exhibitionism/voyeurism in some context amongst other consenting adults who may not even know each other.
People you have sexual relations with yes, I’d say thats pretty reasonable. Keep in mind this is my idea of original socialist policy, it can be changed at any time if the people so desire. But I’d say causing some kinks to be less able to express is a worthwhile trade to make sure sex exploitation is not continued.

at the very least non-accessible to those 21 and below, but limiting by age is almost impossible on the internet. People can find outlets by actual face to face interactions or writings. Im just talking video porn, sex work, and hentai being banned, not any sexual things to exist. East germany did not have any of those things, but it had better sex than that of the west Germany that did have it (Obviously not hentai at that time.). See the scientific paper on it.
They had better sex though because they had working women, which were less dependent on the men. They had more freedom and thus better sex.

What do you mean “it shouldn’t exist”. Why you would prevent two or more people from being together in a certain circumstance and for a certain reason?
Having sex for a different reason than “romantic love” doesn’t have to be a “wrong” thing, if you ask me.
They could just hook up with someone, that is their own problem, don’t make it someone elses. If they can’t? Too fucking bad, its their own fault. I am not getting in this argument again.

This is my answer for sure. I work in IT for a university, so I feel like I’m contributing something even if it is just greasing the wheels of society. But I start losing my productivity after about 6 hours of work, so I would love to just get off earlier.
What do you do now?
Build websites, IT stuff.
Working with children in the kindergarten and elementary school range. I do that voluntary right now as well. I’m on a kind of an UBI, because I get welfare in Germany because of my illness. I don’t really want more money than that. I just want to do stuff that I feel is right and needed.
Probably various things, but I hope I would find the time to do something Permaculture related.

But after UBI much more charity work will start being done. There will be a critical mass of people who have time and funds to build up their own communities.
I would keep doing the same job, but also some community work.

I can axplain later about UBI if you like. But for now, what kind of revolution are you thinking of? What is the political goal of the anti-work people?

This is a straw-man argument. Nobody would ever (I hope) try to implement UBI that way. It would be a disaster.
But this is a general problem. Proponents and opponents of any thing, are usually talking about very different versions of the thing. If not, they have incompatible perspectives on the thing. I can explain more about this if you like - you really need to see examples to see why it’s important.
There aren’t really serious doubts about whether UBI would work, or what its effects are on society. But there are many misunderstandings about what UBI is.
