Criminal code article about “hurting the feelings of the religious” (another dumbass one) sounds like it’s 50/50 that you’ll get jailed for speaking about religion at all, but it specifies public actions taken to insult the faithful.
The second point is about as nebulous as it sounds. Gotta wait and see what is gonna be considered propaganda. I doubt they will order the book stores to take Russian classics off the shelves for mentions of sexual minorities and there are some.

There’s indeed such law - originally crafted under the pretense of “defending children” (because of course), it is now being expanded to include “propaganda among adults”. The wording of the law is somewhat vague, which is usually on purpose - so it can be used (or not used) whenever the need arises.
Now as to why this law exists and how bad it’s going to be - not sure at all. Many people (like the one in the linked image) naturally fear for their well-being, and frankly I can’t blame them. That said, the original “gay propaganda” law didn’t stop gay clubs, drag clubs and other such activities.
Most likely scenario - this is meant as an additional tool to be used against opposition (both legitimate socialist and western backed liberals). Same with the law against “offending religious sensibilities” and others.
Thanks for explaining, I figured it was true considering Purim’s outward dislike for anything LGBTQ+. Just wanted a bit more clarification considering twitter doesn’t allow that.
