I saw that happen and first told myself, “well people could at least give the guy and rpi the benefit of the doubt, at least they are being open about it”. After all I’m sure we do need surveillance cops and all (I guess?).
Then I saw the childish and kind of disrespectful answers from rpi to some people just nicely voicing their concern and thought “maybe the guy deserved the benefit of the doubt but rpi surely doesn’t”

I think they misunderstood something fundamental about Mastodon…
On a side note: people complaining about RPi not being concerned about their main customers also have a fundamental misunderstanding what the main RPi customers are these days. The reason why they are so hard to get is that RPi is prioritizing their by far larger commercial customers over SBC end-users and couldn’t care less about the latter.
