Have some friends on there, it has a bit of a comminity from my country that may be useful someday and some content I havent backed up. Else i really want to delete my account from that hate and abuse filled site

how about they focus on their browser and work on developing ethical toolsets that destroy the need for something like chatgpt (gross)

For me i suppose using a platform such as a microblogging site or something akin to discord (fuck discord tho) has proved productive to find new people whom i can connect with and hold informative and intimate, rather long-form conversations with.

And yet it would make already difficult conversations even more so and open a door for horrible emotional and other forms of psychological abuse.

This is literally my worst nightmare

I really enjoy calckey’s UI and havent found any client that supports groups either

it’s got a lot of regular security flaws from what ive seen from a quick search. But I’ll consider it. Thanks!

Android Private Browser with Real-Time Push notifications options
Hello good people of beehaw. I'm looking for an android browser that works with push notifications for something like calckey but wont outright be a spyware in itself, is there anything that would satisfy this need for me in case firefox fails so?

Ah yes we needed more conglomerate affiliations in our lives.

First off: They exist only in the elite areas. Second: Everyone uses it to ride and park their SUVs, even the police itself.

The beautiful, intimate origin story of the tildes community

“Elon Musk admitted to his biographer that the reason the Hyperloop was announced—even tho he had no intention of pursuing it—was to try to disrupt the California high-speed rail project to get in the way of that actually succeeding.” — @parismarx in Gizmodo

I do understand what you mean. My instintive reaction to the proposition that it doesnt matter of the quantity of the disinformation is to disagree. But i do not have warranted argument against it nor the health to study it currently. Do pardon me for breaking the conversation here, I appreciate the good faith nature of it.

I would like an elaboration on your first sentence. Genuine curiousity, i want to understand your point.

probably not, but is a very powerful weapon for it

I mean to call ChatGPT a potential propaganda device given its blatant inclination towards disinformation. With its copycats like that of Bing actively trying to gaslight its users too.

Look, can we really blame the desperate, especially people suffering from mental health issues, to seek help that they can? i feel that the only solution to problems like these are better health care, which means proper and rigorous scientific and ethical education on the subject and proper support system and establishment for health care services

and yet they released it. Anyone who still entertains this propaganda device while being aware of all of this is completely off my circle.

idk man sounds like a capitalism problem rather than a technological one

This is what a carnivores diet does to a person /j

Great study into capitalism, and the need to own the means of production

Moral crime, not war crime. Terminology integrity matter.

didnt think anyone would find it interesting.

Third-party doctrine - Wikipedia
The third-party doctrine is a United States legal doctrine that holds that people who voluntarily give information to third parties—such as banks, phone companies, internet service providers (ISPs), and e-mail servers—have "no reasonable expectation of privacy" in that information. A lack of privacy protection allows the United States government to obtain information from third parties without a legal warrant and without otherwise complying with the Fourth Amendment prohibition against search and seizure without probable cause and a judicial search warrant.[1]

Kind reminder: your whole internet traffic, encryption, backups, communication, shopping, writings, business interaction, etc are transferred through your router. Many internet service providers across Europe impose their own routers to consumers. This is a clear contradiction with the 🌐 Net Neutrality principle.

I think this is largely a reflection of what kind of people youtube comment sections attract. Its a system of broadcast validation where people looking for some innocent attention and validation may make the same emulated, generic comment to get some sense of intellectual significance.

AFAIK theyre undergoing structural changes in the development and funding at the same time as this. Idk if that affects it or not, but may be a relevant factor.

Why are you so angry at a community developed and funded project? and old doesnt equal to bad. Dont gotta always fix what works.

yep, aware about this. Was wondering if more like it existed

I’m personally not sure, I dont use ddg’s app due to its affiliation with microsoft
