Feel free to remove, I didn’t see it had been posted already here : https://slrpnk.net/post/1143
Like everyone, I can see more and more anger, but depending where you live I think claiming “Young people have turned their backs on capitalism” is a stretch.
Well it’s Vice, they like catchphrases.
The way I see it, if old capitalism feels archaic and unjust, marketing (and sponsoring) on the other hand has also completely invaded the way we relate and seek attention. So there’s that.
Ok, didn’t know that. I will have so much catching up to do with documentations one of these days… The onion routing seemed cool but I barely read anything on it yet.
I Hope it’s not some bullshit whitepaper just to add value to a blockchain/token.
Someone was talking about Session in another post, the open source app that uses signal code, but without the need to register a phone number.
Can someone recommend it ? Has it been audited ? Because when it comes to cryptography, even if it’s supposedly the same code as Signal, it still needs to be independently audited to be trusted.
Now you can request “enhancements” too in the issue section. See https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy-ui/issues
Depending who you’re talking too, anarchists are unrealistic book worms, OR they never read any theory.
About the invisible work done by anarchists, it’s all about building a community and mutual aid : no profit grocery, work cooperatives (with or without money), helping migrants, learning languages, neighbourghood gardening, book clubs… Of course it’s not as visible as building a political party or a big trade union. But without this kind of small local mutual aid and social bounds your revolution won’t last long.
You can show them other instances that better match your or their political view.
At this point of agressiveness it’s not even a matter of political view.
But you’re right I’ll point people over to Beehaw.org for now.
We don’t have a common definition of what “being civil” is, it seems. I’m afraid of showing lemmy.ml to people now, every post about Ukraine or vaguely naming China or Taïwan turns into a nightmare.
Merci pour la suggestion. En fait les réglages de langues sont vraiment un casse-tête, je préfère ne plus y toucher pour l’instant.
